Yes, my 5th graders! The ones who have been SOOOO invested in this adoption from Haiti for 180 school days! The ones who print pictures off from this blog and stick them in their lockers (not naming any names!) The ones who wanted NEWS every day and when I would share news in morning meeting, you would applaud and cheer! I felt SO loved by you all! It was a GREAT school year! One of the BEST! And I am so glad I got to share the journey of adopting Mackenley with you! I know many of you have been checking my blog this summer because I said he would be home this summer (like by NOW) and you want to come to the airport and see him in person!
Well, you remember back on May 14 when I entered ALMOST the last step where his passport would be applied for? Today is July 14 and I am still in that step! :-( You do the math! No step has taken this long except for that first step you went through with me when I was in IBESR :-)
So, will he come home this summer? I don't know!?! I have been very sad lately as I wait but I know he will come home and it will be some time soon! Keep checking back! Sorry I have not written more. When GLA has his passport I will make sure to share! And when I have the airport day and time I will definitely share!!!!
Hope you are each having wonderful summers! I love you all!!! Don't forget to read EVERY day, turn off the TV, not too much internet time and go to sleep at a decent hour!!!!
